U23D

My husband is so great that HE was the one who suggested we go see this last night. For a U2 devotee like me, it was incredible. The 3D aspect was so amazing, it was really like being there, but all over the place - in the audience, up on stage, even up above at times. The sound quality was even better than being there, at least at an arena show where the acoustics are lousy (like the Delta Center). It felt weird at first to not be cheering, clapping and singing along, but it was kind of nice to be able to just sit back and take it all in. It's been a while since I nurtured my U2 fan-hood, and this was the perfect vehicle to give me that opportunity. With the guys quickly closing in on 50, the eye-candy factor isn't quite what it used to be (though I'm not complaining!), but their talent and energy hasn't abated at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and when it was over, I asked Jared, "Can we see it again?" I think I may be able to make a case for it, since we arrived a bit late and missed the opening number ("Vertigo"). Anyone care to join me?

So sorry you were late...it's my fault. I feel it is my "duty" to go with you to see it again, and I'll even pay for your ticket. Now what to do with the kids...

Where'd you see it in 3d? Sounds like so much fun. Thanks for the favorable review.

I must admit I am very jealous! I've got to make it out for this one at some point!
