Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone is having a great day today. I'm afraid the kids (especially Audrey) may be a bit underwhelmed, as she had her V-Day party at school yesterday, plus Michelle, Maddy and Libby came over and we decorated sugar cookies. I'm sure she was thinking, "And it's not even Valentine's Day, yet!" because last night she was saying, "I'm SO excited for Valentine's Day!" Well, she was greeted this morning with blueberry muffins that were somewhat heart-shaped and pink milk (thanks to the magic of food coloring), but we haven't done much else yet to celebrate the day (beyond me spending way too much time trying to figure out how to put some festive music up on the blog!).

We may do another round of cookies or some kind of treats and take them around to some of her friends, and then tonight, I think it's going to be heart-shaped pizza (thank you, Papa Murphy's) and sparkling cider by candlelight. If the kids aren't too tired, we'll do family movie night, but if they are, we'll put them to bed and probably watch a movie or play a game together. Pretty low-key, but that's the way we like it!

I briefly mentioned the music - check it out! In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I put up some of my favorite "love songs". In the process, I realized that a lot of my favorite slow songs aren't necessarily all that romantic - lots of sadness, bitterness and frustration among my top tunes. Hmm, what does that say about me? Anyway, I didn't set the music player to auto-play, just in case you're at work, or something, and don't want the music to start up when you check out the blog, but if you want to listen, just click the little play button (just call me Captain Obvious!). I did not just go to all that work for just 10 hours - they will be up throughout the month of February, and I'll try to add more as I come up with more of my favorites.

Valentine's Love to all of my wonderful friends and family!
