Kid Funnies

Jared (to me): Sweetie, are you coming over for scriptures?
Audrey: Dad, are you the boss of Mom?
Jared: No, why?
Audrey: Well, you called her "sweetie" so I just thought she must be your daughter or something.

I guess we're ok on terms of endearment with the kids, but we need to use them for each other a bit more!

Adam (to me): Are we going to your house?
Me: We're already at my house.
Adam: Actually, this is MY house.

Truer words were probably never spoken.

We were hunting for Easter eggs at my mom's house yesterday, when Audrey and Adam spied a cat on the fence. Audrey cries out, "Look, it's a REAL cat!" As opposed to all those fake ones running around, I guess.

The kids got a hold of the camera the other day. They took over 100 pictures. Good thing "film" is cheap these days! It was interesting to see the world through their eyes. Here are some of the more amusing shots:

There were about 10 of these not-so-flattering self-portraits
of each child

including extreme close-ups.

Portraits of beloved objects - the "glass princess doll" and the yellow blanket, for Audrey

and the "digger truck" for Adam

we're obviously equal-opportunity close-up photographers

Decent job of centering, there, if that was intentional!

I wonder if he liked the objects, or just thought it made an interesting composition.

Some interesting lines, there, though the overexposure is unfortunate (unless, of course, it was intended).

Audrey talked Adam into dressing up, too, apparently. If you look closely, you can see me glued to the computer screen in the background, which is how they managed to get away with all of this!
