Truly, the Timing is Impeccable

Anyone who knows me will probably not be surprised to hear that I got a bit behind in my laundry. No biggie, right, I can get caught up with a big marathon laundry session - nothing new to me. I decided to get a jump start on it yesterday, so I threw in a load of darks in the morning, all's well. We were gone most of the day, and when we got home, I decided to do a load of whites, and I planned to tackle everything else Monday. I go to start the machine - it makes the noise - but no water comes out. I switch the temperature to "hot" - I have water! Back to "cold" - again, nothing. I can't run the load with hot water because all of my rinse cycles are cold water only (besides, I'm a little bit anal about my laundry and wash everything except for whites in cold to prevent fading. The thought of washing all my colored clothes in hot water makes me shudder a bit, though I'd probably do it in a dire emergency, if I had the option, which I don't). Jared took a look at the washer and figures he either needs a part or to have it looked at by a professional. Unfortunately, I'm not at all certain that this will be accomplished on Monday, but we're planning to leave for Arizona on Tuesday! If the washer had broken earlier on Saturday, at least I could have gotten ahold of the warranty center then, and I'd know if they'd be out to fix it Monday or not. As it is, I'm in laundry limbo. A non-functioning washing machine, mounds of laundry, and a trip in two days. This sounds like some sort of a brain-teaser...
