Back to Life, Back to Reality

After two weekends in a row of shirking my motherly duties and leaving most of the parenting to Jared in order to spend time with friends and family I don't often get to see, I've had my rude awakening - though I can forget, at times, that I'm the mother of two, the fact remains, that I am a mother of two. That generally involves doing motherly things, like taking care of sick children. Audrey threw up this morning. Those of you who know me at all, know that this is no small thing for me. Jared was around to help with the initial cleanup (which, honestly, wasn't THAT bad), but then he left for work, leaving me alone here, in charge of any future cleanups. Luckily, it seems to have been an isolated incident. She's feeling better, has an appetite and energy, so I'm thanking my lucky stars, and hoping she continues to feel better and no one else gets sick. Still, nothing like a sick little girl to take care of to remind you that Mom is an important job!
