So This Is What It's Like To Have a Life!

Seriously, it seems like all summer we were home quite a bit, not doing much - and all of a sudden, the last few weeks have been crazy busy! I've gotten in touch with a few old friends, had playdates with a few more friends, gone to birthday parties, baby showers, gotten together with family - the fun never ends! I do have to say, though, I keep wondering when things are going to slow down.

One of the highlights was going to the BYU Education Week devotional with my mom. Elder Scott gave a really great talk, Mom even said she thinks it may be the best talk she's ever heard him give! If you missed it, check out this link for a summary and times when you can catch it being rebroadcast on BYUTV and KBYU. Thanks to Shells for watching the kids so I could go!

Audrey's doing great at school, we've walked the last couple of times and I really enjoy the workout and the chance to get out in the mornings. It's about 2.5-3 miles, round trip, downhill there and uphill back, so it's definitely quite the workout. I was still a little sore this morning from our walk on Monday! Audrey was thrilled to be reunited with her good friend Alessa last week after Alessa came home from being out of town for nearly a month! She also enjoyed going to her friend Elijah's 5th birthday party. When asked what her favorite thing about the party was, she told me, "When me and the other kids were popping all the balloons." Sounds like a success. Kori (Elijah's mom) is a trooper - there were 10 kids at the party!

Adam's taking full advantage of the rights and privileges that come with being 2 years old - i.e., throwing tantrums whenever life doesn't go as he'd hoped. Luckily, he's usually able to do what he wants - but if we get in his way, MAN does he let us know. Lately he loves listening to music and singing songs, loves playing with dinosaurs and trucks, and pointing out any trucks or motorcycles that we happen to see.

Jared's been extremely busy at work and often spends a few hours in the evenings, working from home, after coming home from a full day at the office. I can't wait until things calm down a bit and I get my husband back!

Didn't know you had a blog until I saw it linked to Rachel M.'s! Loved seeing the pics of the kids and reading all about the goings on. Congrats on the return to preschool. It's sad that first day to drop them off, but I felt pretty happy the second time I took Jacob. :)
