There's Quite a Learning Curve

OK, I consider myself a fairly technologically savvy person. I can do basic stuff on the computer, I can - all right, I've been sitting here for about 5 minutes, trying to think of all the technical stuff I can do to prove my point, and I'm coming up empty. My cell phone - it took me forever to figure out how to access voicemail, turn off the speakerphone (I could turn it on easily, accidentally!), and, after having the phone over a year, my kind sister-in-law just last week showed me that, yes, the keys DO lock (I was convinced they didn't). My parents have a TV with a Dish Network box, an audio tuner (for surround sound), and a DVD/VCR combo. There are about 4 remotes sitting on top of this TV. Every time I want to watch television at their house, I have to go through the tutorial. My sister had to explain to me how to use my iPod. Maybe I should stop snickering when it takes my Grandpa a few minutes to open up a new Word document.

All right, I'll admit it - I'm pretty much technically inept. That's why I've got Jared! However, I've been trying to make my blog a little less dull, by adding links, pictures, changing colors, etc. It's pretty slow going, so please bear with me. One of these days, I'll get it. Hey, I'm going to Michelle's tonight for a birthday dinner (Happy Birthday, Michelle!). Maybe she can help me figure it out ;)
