Only it's that everybody I come into contact with gets the stomach flu! I'd be perfectly happy if I never had another week like last week. Sunday night, we got together with Jared's family to celebrate a new baby and a birthday. I brought most of the meal - big mistake. We left a little early due to Adam's diaper blowout and my rumbly tummy. By Tuesday, the Dunns, the Lees and the Smiths were all in the throes of the nasty stomach bug! It seems to have hit us the hardest, and I'm still having a hard time claiming Adam's made a full recovery (he'll go a couple of days without symptoms and then surprise me with another blowout). We spent Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in total isolation (well, I did attend a fun baby shower Thursday night for my Sunbeams team teacher). By Friday, I thought surely at least Audrey and I were no longer contagious (we weren't having any more symptoms), so I went to a VERY fun bridal shower for cousin Lindsey Robinson, and that night attended a family dinner with the McKinneys who were in town for Emily and Morgan's graduation. Michelle got sick Friday night. Saturday, after Adam had been totally symptom-free for two days, we ventured out to Lindsey's wedding breakfast, and to her reception Saturday night. Michelle called Sunday morning to find out what she could give Maddy, who had been sick all night. Ugh! I felt so terrible. Even worse, Mom and Dad call Monday morning - they've got it now, too! Somehow, the McKinneys managed to miraculously escape - at least I hope they did. Rachel was brave and she and Mikayla stayed with us Sunday night. I'm so glad she did. We had such a good time visiting, and the kids stayed up super-late playing and having a great time. I really hope we get to see them again soon! Adam threw me off by having another yucky diaper Monday, but I'm hoping/thinking that I may have just started him back on milk too soon. I've switched him over to soymilk the past few days, and he seems to be tolerating that much better. I'm so glad we only seem to get this bug every couple of years - it was a dark cloud over what otherwise would have been a positively delightful weekend, with all the family we got to see and all the fun activities that were planned!
