Crazy Life

Yup, another one of those infamous self-portraits!

I told my mom yesterday I'm having a hard time striking a balance with blogging - either there's nothing going on, so I have nothing to blog about, or there's too much going on and I'm too busy to blog! Last week was of the latter variety. We had a lot of fun working in the yard, going to the library, celebrating Ashlyn's 2nd birthday at her fun party, going to the first meeting of our ward book club (discussing Little Women - one of my all-time favorites!), meeting Michelle and Laura at Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point (the pony ride and watching the cowboys capture the escaped "Watch out, I bite" donkey after a few rounds around the park were the highlights there!), having 5 friends over while their moms went to classes with older kids (for a total of 7 for about an hour and half, it went a lot more smoothly than I thought it might!), and of course, our favorite, Friday at Grandma's! We went to the library again with her, ran to Walmart, and had a yummy lunch with Grandpa. Adam would have been just as happy playing with Grandma's train set the entire time, though. Audrey had a ball on Saturday going to Alessa's dance recital. Saturday wasn't quite as fun for the rest of us, as cleaning out the pantry was the main event here. I'm so glad it's done now, though! Sunday caught us off-guard with all the snow we got. The kids made the best of it, though, and went out and built a snowman and had snowball fights after church with Dad. I neglected to put snow pants on poor little Adam, though (I misjudged how serious the snow play was going to turn!), and his pants were soaking and his legs were bright red by the time we talked him into coming inside. I felt so bad, though a cup of hot cider seemed to appease him. We spent Sunday evening visiting with family at Grandma Henrie's, which is always fun. A very full week! Next week promises to be equally full, with Monday-Wednesday slated for all kinds of cleaning/organizing projects. Thursday is the funeral for Jared's Granddad, and then I pick up Rochelle from the airport. With her and a lot of Jared's family in town, plus General Conference, I know this weekend's going to be a busy one, too.

I was a slacker and didn't take pictures at most of the aforementioned events. Here are the paltry few I have, though:

Adam's pony ride

Audrey on the pony

Here's the wild, biting donkey on the loose. He came running right past us several times - pretty scary!

Donkey subdued. I actually felt a little sorry for him. He was totally pacing around in his stall when they had him locked back up.

Pantry Before (and yes, I'm embarrassed that everyone's seeing this!)

Pantry after. We can see the floor now!

Hey Miss Organization Station----I love the picture of Audrey on the horse, she is so photogenic. In my picture of her from Thanksgiving Point, her hair is so pretty---looks like she is on a commercial for hair, so pretty.

I noticed an orange halloween pumpkin in your pantry in the "before" pic. It must be a family thing because we have one full of Easter goodies on top of our refrigerator. lol

BTW, love the new blog background!
