Saturday in the Park

(no, it wasn't the 4th of July).

Hard to believe, with the cold, blustery, snowy weather we've had the past few days, but Saturday was absolutely gorgeous. I told the kids to go get in the car so we could go to Costco, and I came out to find them playing in the driveway - riding "bikes" (neither of them can ride a real bike yet, but all of their ride-on toys are referred to as bikes) and throwing snowballs. Adam loves to "help" shovel and pulls out the shovel at any chance he gets. We decided not to waste the lovely weather, and took a walk around the neighborhood. We even went and walked around the park! Adam especially delighted in spotting the evidence deer had left of their presence. The walking path wasn't clear at the park, so by the time we walked around, the kids had wet feet and were ready to get back home. Still, we spent a very pleasant couple of hours outside - that's pretty rare for January in Utah!

(sorry no pics of Audrey - I got the camera out and took this one of Adam, then had to help Audrey because she fell down and skinned her knees. I went in to help her and left the camera inside, so I didn't get any shots of our walk, either.)

How's that driveway treatin' ya? Ours is kicking our butts--or I should say Lowell's. I kind of refuse to do it because if I do it once it will become my permanent chore...you know how that is! I prefer to keep my permanent chore if the child bearing, he can have the drive way!
