Overheard Recently...

Me: What do you want for breakfast?
Adam: Hot chocolate!
Audrey: No, Adam, you have to have something healthy for breakfast. I want cookie cereal (Cookie Crisp)!

Looks like we still need a few more lessons on nutrition, though she did save her cookie until after she had eaten lunch yesterday, all of her own accord. Of course, lunch consisted of a roll, chips, the cookie, and a slice of cheese, her cursory nod to protein. There had also been a piece of cauliflower on her plate, but she declared she didn't like it, and gave it to me (it only ended up on her plate in the first place because she touched it at the buffet table, not because she actually asked for it).

Me (to Adam): I love YOU!
Adam: I love ME!

No problems with self-esteem here!

Christmas was great! I'm planning to post a recap as soon as I get some of the pictures from my dad (I was totally lazy about taking pictures, so I have very few on my camera). We've had a crazy week, but we had a lot of fun seeing all of both of our families. The kids loved playing with cousins. We attended James's "homecoming" yesterday and it was wonderful. He did a great job on his talk, and it was so fun to see everyone.

Right now, Audrey's asking to take down Christmas decorations, and that sounds like a good idea to me!
